Vice President Quantitative Analyst – Fundamental Equities

VP-level Quantitative Analyst with a proven background in fundamental equities or Multi-asset with a factor investment ethos, combined with strong skills in quantitative analysis and developing quantitative models / factor models, financial modelling and statistics, and technical skills in Python or R development for data analysis/data modelling/data science for predictive modelling and feature engineering to bridge quantitative research with fundamental investment decision-making required by one of the world’s largest investors in REIT/ global real estate securities, sourcing alpha through unmatched depth and breadth of coverage and rigorous fundamental research.
 
Salary Circa $200-225k Base + Bonus Total comp Circa $350-400k + Excellent Benefits package
 
The role is full-time office based in Mid Town, New York.
 
Key Requirements for the role of Vice President, Quantitative Analyst 
 

  • At least seven years of experience in quantitative analysis and financial modelling, with a quant background in fundamental equities or multi-asset, OR REIT / Commercial Real Estate background
  • Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, AI or related quantitative or engineering field.
  • Proficiency in R/Python for data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong data science skills, including data cleaning, predictive modeling, and feature engineering.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and integrate AI/ML including LLM’s.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to bridge quantitative research with fundamental investment decision-making.

  
Key Responsibilities for the role of Vice President, Quantitative Analyst 

  • Develop and maintain quantitative models to support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with fundamental portfolio managers to integrate quantitative insights and models into fundamental strategies.
  • Analyze financial and market data using statistical, econometric, and AI/ML to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate internal and external data sources.
  • Build scalable tools and processes using R or Python.
  • Clearly communicate findings and provide transparency in model development, assumptions, and outputs.
